FAHRENHEIT 2024-2026
2024
Pantacon’s commitment to addressing the complex issues of our contemporary world through art continues with “Fahrenheit 2024-2026, the years of climate emergency“.
The project was conceived by Pantacon cooperative consortium social enterprise in partnership with Alkémica social cooperative non-profit, Charta social cooperative non-profit, Teatro Magro social cooperative non-profit, Zero Beat cooperative society and will be carried out in collaboration with Liceo Artistico “Giulio Romano” of Mantova with associated branch Liceo Artistico “Alessandro dal Prato” of Guidizzolo.
The objective that Pantacon and its partners have set is to raise awareness among students of the Liceo Artistico “Giulio Romano” of Mantova with its branch in Guidizzolo (third-year classes of graphics and figurative arts) on issues related to environmental sustainability to increase knowledge and promote awareness among the young people involved.
The project spans the academic years 2024-25 and 2025-26 through specific ‘PCTO-pathways for transversal skills and orientation’, organized with visits to artists’ studios that deal with environmental themes, conferences and talks at school with experts in subjects related to the climate emergency, meetings with productive enterprises that apply principles of sustainability, and learning about exemplary and replicable good practices.
The result will be an artistic-creative product designed by the students at the end of the pathways, thanks to collaboration with professionals in the fields of theater, performance, communication-entertainment, photography, video, figurative arts, street art, etc.
Young people will thus have the opportunity to demonstrate that they can be protagonists of change by acting “from the bottom up”. Art can be the language through which to deliver a message of fundamental civic engagement to their own generation, but also to an adult audience, institutions, and citizens.
The initiative is made possible thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cariplo. “Fahrenheit” is the only project in the province of Mantova to be funded in the 2024 edition of the “Creative Climate” grant.
