It is in classifications that life reveals its poignant glimmer, in the protocols that try to catalogue it and thus highlight its irreducible leftover of mystery and fascination. Of course, life is elsewhere. Yet many lives, all lives pass through archives. And all lives have a story but few of them are written. Who is going to remember those who remember? Archives are then tales of lived lives, interpretations of reality, antidote to death, to the abrasion of the mirror of time. State archives. Archives of a state. A state of being. A state of having. Of having things as they are present. Little crumbs. They must not fall down. We need to pick them up properly, put them in a jar and seal it with care. Touch it with gloves and remove the dust. Then place it back.
